There are a lot of headshaking, facepalm, sigh-inducing aspects of the field of journalism. There are also many people, communities and efforts that make it worth the struggle.

This site is an attempt at some mapping and wayfinding to help us navigate through all the noise, the bullshit and the marketing speak to connect with the people, communities, missions and values that draw us to this work.

This is an ongoing effort to surface what is, so that we can all more effectively work toward building what should be and replace what is broken, toxic and harmful.
